This is an outstanding piece of antique stoneware with an even better handpainted scene of a ship on the ocean on one side and a lighthouse on the other.  The crock measures 11 3/4” in height by approximately 9 1/2” in diameter at the widest part.  The crock appears to have a '2' stamped on one side near the top.  The crock has nice ear handles.  The painting is not signed but has been done by a very skilled craftsman. The painting shows minor wear in a few spots and there are a few minor rim chips.  A beautiful piece of stoneware.
